What makes you happy?
Warm, sunny weather (desperately need some), good food, and the Scottish Highlands.
What are you scared of?
How much people trust and are starting to rely on AI, unseasoned food, and supermarket sushi.
Who is your hero?
Myself? I don’t really look up to anyone because I see everyone as equal. If we’re talking about who I’ve learned the most from, it’s probably my mom and my grandma. My mom is a CEO, and my grandma graduated from a top university in China back when women going to university was still a rare thing. They navigated life with so much strength and courage, which quietly shaped my core beliefs.
Which words or phrases do you most overuse?
“Where is my phone?” (I lose it three times a day on average :))
When and where were you happiest?
Off the top of my head: the moment Patricia told me I was confirmed for Rick Owens last season. I was actually in the toilet at that moment, but joy finds you where it finds you.
What are your talents?
I’m a weird mix of very logical and very emotional. I can switch off the rational brain and let the creative chaos take over when needed.
What do you consider your greatest achievement?
I don’t put much weight on “achievements.” They’re usually just a mix of effort, personality, and luck. That said, I’m quite happy with how much effort I put into life and the person I’m slowly becoming.
Where would you most like to live?
Somewhere warm, near the beach, with lots of sunlight.
What is your most treasured possession?
After my first internship five years ago, I bought myself a very beefy PC — Intel i7 CPU, 16GB RAM, and GPU is NVIDIA RTX 5060 (newest at the time). I treated it like my child. Fully aware this is peak nerd behavior.
What is your favourite thing to do?
Writing “morning pages.” It’s basically dumping every thought in your head onto paper until you’ve filled three pages — no structure, no logic. It comes from a book called The Artist’s Way. If you overthink, I can’t recommend it enough. My brain has never been this peaceful.
What is your most marked characteristic?
I’m freakishly tall for a girl from South China.
What do you value most in your friends?
Keeping it real. No performance, no pretending.
Who is your hero of fiction?
I don’t really read much fiction.
What are your favourite names?
I really want a dog and naming it “Cat”. (Sorry)
Do you have a party trick?
I share animal facts — snails in particular, they’re incredible — but it usually just makes the room very uncomfortable.
Can you play an instrument?
I’ve been playing the piano since I was four (mandatory Asian kid starter pack).
What is your favourite song to dance to?
I loveeee 070 shake but I don’t really dance to her music. I just put on headphones and listen to them quietly:(
Describe your style.
On better days, I like to look cold, dark, and slightly intimidating. But right now, I just want to have fun because this adult life is not easy :(
